Kyler Hester (G11) has been awarded the Unites States Silver Congressional Award by the US Congress. He completed the bronze last year, and is now working towards gold. Congratulations Kyler on your outstanding accomplishment!
Participants earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold Certificates, as well as Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals. Each level involves setting goals in four program areas; Voluntary Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration. The enabling legislation (Public Law 96-114) established The Congressional Award as a private-public partnership, which receives all funding from the private sector. The legislation was originally signed into law by President Jimmy Carter. Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald J. Trump have each signed continuing legislation.
Yesterday we completed Day 1 with a focus on Sustenance & Fervency for the HOPE Community. Every day there is guided prayer and worship in the Hall at 12pm, as well as prayer stations throughout campus. Continue to join us in praying over HOPE school, students, staff, and families.
