This month, we are celebrating the synchronization that makes our progress feel light and steady. When students show up ready to learn, when teachers guide with care, and when parents support from home, all our steps fall into a rhythm. Thank you for being part of this effort; every stride we take is in sync, helping us to raise thoughtful, godly leaders worldwide!
Strides for HOPE is coming up soon and everyone is invited!
This is our annual fundraiser for student scholarships which includes a fun run, market vendors, carnival games and a raffle. This year’s goal is to raise $5,000 USD. These scholarships provide crucial, temporary financial aid to HOPE families navigating unforeseen financial hardships while serving in Cambodia. See how fun this event was last year.
By people coming to the event! The more people who attend, the more successful we become. With every affordable entry fee, you make an initial impact toward achieving our community goal. Be sure to check out the entry fee bundles available this year. We have some free posters available at the Front Office in English, Khmer, Mandarin and Korean. Spread the word!
Fun Run
Running a 2k, 3k or 5k! Start your training for our annual Strides for HOPE Run on the 15th of November. If you are interested in running, there will be 2k, 3k and 5k distances to choose from. This will be both a House Event and fundraising event that is open to students, parents, friends and the wider community. HOPE Parents will also gain points for their children’s house by running! Watch out for the entry form coming soon.
Strides for HOPE will be an important race for HOPE Cross Country runners as it will serve as the trial run to secure positions on the Cross Country Team that will compete on November 22nd at NISC for PPAC8.
Vendor Market
We are inviting mission businesses and companies to support the school by promoting and selling their products and services at the event. Do you know anyone who might be interested? Please share these flyers with them or refer them to Monica Limantara, Edizza Mora, or Hector Anica. On the day of the event, come and shop with these amazing vendors.
Fun with Carnival Games!
Playing carnival games also helps us reach our goal. The more you play, the more funds we generate, AND the more chances you have to win a prize from our raffle!
Seeking Donors for this Fund
Invite friends and families to make donations using this card. Donations are open starting this Monday, and anyone from anywhere in the world can make an impact for our families. Pick up a donation card at the Front Office.
One last thing...
All activities at Strides for HOPE helps to earn House points. Every action has an impact—earn more points for your House whenever you participate!
Congratulations to Julia Logan, who has been named a 2025 CLT10 National Award Winner by the Classic Learning Test (CLT) for her exceptional performance on the CLT10, a college preparatory exam and alternative to the PSAT® and PreACT®. This prestigious award recognizes the top 50 scorers nationwide, placing Julia in the top 1% of test-takers among thousands of ninth- and tenth-grade students nationwide. In addition to this national recognition, Julia receives a $2,500 scholarship applicable at more than 300 colleges and universities that partner with CLT. The CLT emphasizes classic literature, historical texts, and critical reasoning—aligning closely with HOPE’s curriculum of rigorous academics and classical foundations. We celebrate Julia’s outstanding achievement and hope her success inspires other students to explore the CLT and its growing opportunities!

Last Friday, we hosted a live performance in the hall, featuring piano and violin pieces by several of our talented students and some singers too. It was encouraging to witness the diligence and passion our students poured into their music. View the photos below! Don't miss the final Lunchtime Live of the semester on November 14th.
RUANG Studios has now made individual student photos and sibling photos available for purchase. Please note that while the main class/school photos were ordered by HOPE for school purposes, these personal portraits are available for parents to buy. We have sent an email containing a secure passcode to all parents for accessing their child's gallery. If you did not receive this email, please contact Mr. Hector Anica right away for assistance. For any help with the ordering process itself, you are welcome to visit our Front Office.
Parent-Teacher Meetings for Grades 10 and 12 are happening on 30 October from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. If you are the parent of a Grade 10 or 12 student, you will receive an email from our Academic Office to make an appointment. These appointments will last 13 minutes to give you a little more time to discuss your child’s progress and preparation for exams.
What a fantastic day we had last Friday during the Mid-Autumn Festival, a tradition celebrated across some East and Southeast Asia countries!
Our preschool was filled with the vibrant colors and delicious tastes of this cherished tradition. The children loved learning about the festival, and the photos truly capture the joy and cuteness.

We would like to inform you of updates to these important school policies. Please take some time to read them and be informed.
2240 - Concerns, Complaints, and Grievance Policy
A distinctive characteristic of HOPE is our community. Our school is a working partnership between parents/guardians, employees, and students. We value community, and within communities, sometimes struggles may arise. HOPE desires to listen and address these situations in a biblical way that honors the Lord.
Mindful of our mutual accountability as members of the body of Christ, we are committed to a biblically based procedure for resolving community concerns and grievances in a timely manner. This process will be carried out with mutual respect, prayer, love, and humility.
3201 - Time Allocated for Instruction
This document specifies HOPE's policy regarding allocated teaching hours for Kindergarten to Grade 8 and the required delivery of content for the IB Diploma Program and IGCSE.
This document sets out HOPE policy on classroom management procedures, including attendance, behavior, rules within the classroom, either face-to-face or online, and expectations for students/teachers.
4070 - Digital Activity Review
This policy establishes the process, roles, and ethical responsibilities for reviewing electronic correspondence and digital activity of students and staff within the HOPE Google Workspace ecosystem. The goal is to ensure safeguarding, uphold child protection standards, maintain the integrity of our school community, and protect the privacy and dignity of individuals.
This policy outlines how HOPE International School cares for staff and students with food allergies. Our goal is to prevent allergic reactions and ensure a quick response if one occurs, both at school and on trips.
6610- Anti-corruption and Bribery
HOPE is committed to conducting all of its business with vendors and government representatives in an honest and ethical manner. We also plan to act with integrity, professionalism and fairness of our interactions and business activities.
We need your help to keep our front-of-school traffic flowing smoothly and safely!

Patience is Key: Be patient and courteous during busy times. A moment of patience ensures a safer experience for everyone.
Keep Lanes Clear: Never park or leave your vehicle unattended in the active drop-off/pick-up lane.

We are in the final stages of compiling HOPE’s Self-Study Report. This comprehensive report examines the school across six key domains: Purpose, Relationships, Teaching and Learning, Expertise, Resources, and Wellbeing.
The report identifies our key strengths and areas for growth. Once the Self-Study is finalized, we will share the summary of findings and the aspects we plan to focus on for continued improvement. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this vital process. We look forward to continuing our growth together.
We have some great promotions for our whole community!
