Building on the rock!

When assignments pile up and deadlines come in, it feels like the whole world is about to crumble. What if there was a way to build a foundation that could always stand any storm? As we meditate on the parable of the House Built on the Rock, we are reminded of the importance of a strong foundation in Jesus Christ. Building a strong foundation isn't easy, but it ensures a stable and promising hope. May Jesus be your guiding light.

HIGHLIGHTS

Brent Willsmore visited HOPE!

We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to connect with Brent Willsmore, a true mentor and friend of our school. Brent was School Director from 2004 to 2015 and his recent visit left us encouraged as we reflect on the importance of the mission of HOPE.

ACADEMICS

FLAG Week

FLAG week stands for Forever Learning About God Week. It is our spiritual emphasis week here at HOPE and has a few different components. This year, both Secondary and Primary will focus around the theme: "Chosen by Grace, Embraced as God's Own."

For Secondary, there will be an extended worship every day, a speaker who shares the gospel, student discussion in small groups, plus games and other activities to emphasize spiritual growth. For Primary, classes will run in the morning as usual, but worship and activities for FLAG Week will happen during Period 5 and 6 in the afternoon. Each day will include short messages followed by small group discussions. Plus, every class will take part in an activity that connects to the theme of the week.

Please pray for a week where God can be heard in the hearts and minds of our students.

CAMPUS

Inspiration to Wash your hands!

To raise awareness about the importance of proper handwashing, the nurses have launched a creative campaign.

This internal student competition challenged students to write poems highlighting the benefits of handwashing. Over 35 students participated and their submissions were creative and fun!

We've selected ten outstanding poems to be displayed around campus. If you see them on campus, take a moment to read these inspiring compositions and learn more about the importance of this simple, yet crucial, health practice.

What is the SAT? The SAT is a standardized test used as an entrance requirement for many Universities in the USA. It is also accepted but not mandatory for Canadian, Singaporean, and Korean Universities.

Who should take PSAT/NMSQT and SAT?

Any students interested who may consider applying to Universities in the USA, Canada, Korea, or Singapore may consider taking the PSAT/NMSQT as preparation and practice for SAT.

SAT should be taken in year 11 and/or 12 in order to submit scores for University applications.

SAT scores are not viewed by UK, European, Scandinavian or Australian Universities. If you know that you will not be applying for Universities in a country that requests SAT scores, you do not need to take the SAT.
