With the finish line now in sight, we stand in awe of the incredible growth that’s been achieved this academic year. It has been a season full of significant advancements. We have experienced the Lord's hand in securing a stable future for our school, a true answer to prayer. Beyond these important steps, our community has thrived through a variety of enriching experiences that brought learning to life. As we prepare for a well-deserved school break, read all the key information below and celebrate with us the bountiful harvest of this year.
Yesterday, our Hall was beautifully prepared to celebrate the significant achievements of our Grade 5 and Preschool 2 students who are moving up! This event honored their academic milestones, a testament to their dedicated efforts and growth.
These celebrations unite parents, students, and staff as they share the joy of these achievements. Congratulations to the Class of 2032 and the Class of 2038! May your years at HOPE continue to be enriching in many ways.
The story of HOPE began in 2002, but a new beginning has been marked thanks to what the Lord has done on March 24, 2025 when the contract to purchase the land was signed. This secured a permanent home for HOPE International School in Cambodia! We are tremendously grateful for the miracle God has done.
This brings us so much joy as we move forward into the future of the school for the generations to come. In the company of the Weyslan pastors who currently own the land, the board of HOPE shared the story of God bringing about this miracle to the whole community and attested to the faithfulness of God. We celebrated and shared the joy of this amazing story with ice cream and fellowship.
Yuhan (Aaron) Meng proudly represented Cambodia at the 10th Abacus 3G Abacus Mental Arithmetic International Competition 2025 in Singapore, where he fought for an impressive third place.
Aaron's dedication to the 3G Abacus club, led by Mr. Alex Koh at HOPE, has clearly paid off. This remarkable achievement is a true inspiration, reaffirming our commitment to bringing new opportunities and expanding horizons of knowledge for all our students. Congratulations, Aaron!
The remarkable Grade 12 class is wrapping up their time at HOPE with a memorable trip to Kampot. This was not just an end-of-year celebration; it was a significant period of bonding and reflection, allowing them to truly cherish their final moments together before stepping out into the wider world. To help with a good transition, they also had a chance to get guidance by the recent "Launch Week," a dynamic two-day workshop that provided essential, practical talks about navigating life beyond HOPE.
The deadline for returning all library books is today, May 30th. During summer, the Library will be open on Mondays from 9:00 am to 11:00 am for our community.
Join us Friday, June 6th, at 8:00 AM in the Secondary Court for our special Whole School Assembly and Awards Ceremony! We will be celebrating student academic and special accomplishments and officially wrapping up the year. It's a great opportunity for our entire school community to come together.
A reminder: June 6th, the last day of school is a half-day. Dismissal is at 12:00 PM, and all students should be off campus by 12:15 PM. Please note that the campus will be closed for the whole afternoon as the staff will be off campus. Also, C9 will not be selling lunch for takeaway on this day.
Near the end of the school year, our Grades 2 and 3 students dress up in Roman and Egyptian clothes. They spend the last weeks of the year learning all about these important ancient civilizations and their history and customs.
A big thanks to the teachers who plan the fun lessons. And to the parents who help make it happen so that the students learn and have fun.
Grade 8 students, under the guidance of Mr. David Sundaram, recently hosted an impressive science fair. Surrounded by parents, staff, and fellow students, our young scientists presented compelling solutions to existing problems and skillfully demonstrated their various experiments. Hosting events like this allows students to demonstrate their knowledge gained during school.
We want to extend a huge thank you to all our club leaders for making extracurricular clubs such a fantastic way to foster interests beyond the classroom! This semester, you ran eight incredible clubs, and we have some great photos to share here.
The Sound of Music is officially our secondary production for next year! Auditions have been buzzing this week, and we are thrilled to confirm that Mr. Wayne McMaster and Mrs. Kristine Hegwood will be directing.
We are encouraged to see the enthusiasm of our students and we encourage secondary students to join the Sound of Music in Google Classroom to keep up with regular notices and updates. We will share the full details once the new year kicks off!
Over the summer break, the campus is open daily for community use from 8 AM to 5 PM. We kindly ask all visitors to adhere to these campus guidelines, especially during break times and holidays. Remember to bring your HOPE ID card or parent lanyard to show the guards that you are part of the HOPE community. This document outlines the expected guidelines for proper campus usage.
C9 Menu for June has been updated. Find it always at hope.edu.kh/meals. Please note that this summer Sahakom and C9 will not be available.
We are praying for more qualified Christian educators to join HOPE in any of the following vacancies. Do you know anyone? Share the website or poster today.
We are excited to invite the entire school community to celebrate the graduation ceremony of our Grade 12 class!
The ceremony will be held at the International Christian Assembly Auditorium on Thursday, June 5th.
This is an event open to the public. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. for a prompt start at 4 p.m. Seating is first come, first serve.
We will also be offering a Facebook live stream of the ceremony for those special ones who are unable to attend physically. Please visit the Facebook Page of the school at the appointed local time.
