The semester has officially come to a close! It has been a joy to witness the incredible discovery of new talents, passions, and skills across our campus. As we prepare for a well-deserved break, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to our entire community.
We pray for a peaceful resolution for the ongoing conflict on the border of Cambodia and Thailand and we cling to the words of Jesus and the promise of His supernatural peace. In John 16:33, He reminds us: “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
Let us remember that God’s promises are anchored in His immutable character and compassionate love. Even in times of darkness, He has given us the Prince of Peace.
Our primary students brought the Christmas Story to life on the final day of school through their wonderful performance of "The Inn-spectors." This memorable event was made possible by our dedicated staff and secondary student helpers, whose tireless efforts shone through every detail. Take a look at these photos from the production!
Our students truly brought the hills to life during this year’s Secondary Production. From the stunning vocals of our cast to the amazing behind-the-scenes work, the three days of performances were a display of talent, discipline, and creativity. Congratulations to all our student cast and crews for the phenomenal show.
We also want to thank all the parents and staff who provided valuable support during the rehearsals and production days, and our whole community for supporting the show with our highest attendance ever!
Watch the recap video to relive the highlights of the show! If you missed the live performance, the full recording is now available on YouTube. Feel free to share these links with friends and family, too.
HOPE is grateful for the recent visit from Mike Lucero, the Team Chair of our ACSI Accreditation visit. Mike conducted a readiness visit to assess our progress as we prepare for the official accreditation visit scheduled for March 2026. With a gentle and observant spirit, he met with our leaders, Steering Committee and Domain Subcommittees to debrief on our work, providing valuable insights to ensure we are fully prepared for the next steps in our accreditation journey.
The feedback from this visit was very encouraging. A major highlight of his report is that we are currently ahead of schedule in our preparations. We also discussed a variety of other topics including logistics, various checklists and detailed feedback on our Self-Study draft.
Looking ahead, ACSI has officially confirmed the Team Roster for our full visit this coming March. We are honored to be visited by a group of peers from across the region, including Mike Lucero from Wesley School in Indonesia, Leighton Helwig from Faith Academy in the Philippines, and Stacey Colwell from Chiang Rai International Christian School in Thailand. The team is rounded out by the expertise of Yohanes Soeharto from Mountainview Christian School in Indonesia and Tressa White from Dalat International School in Malaysia. We look forward to welcoming these leaders and showing them the heart of our school community.
We are incredibly grateful to our community for the overwhelming response to this year’s Christmas Appeal. Thanks to your generosity, the Student Council has already sent over 20 boxes filled with clothing, groceries, hygiene products, and toys.
These essential supplies are being sent through missionary friends providing immediate aid to displaced families in Oddar Meanchey.
How you can still help: We will be collecting donations after the holiday break. If you would like to contribute, just drop off the designated collection boxes located at Park Plaza.
Items Needed: Non-perishable groceries, gently used clothes, hygiene kits, and toys
Thank you for helping us make a meaningful difference in the lives of these displaced families.
When we return this January, we are starting the new semester with a "digital reset." We call it Low-Tech Week and it is designed to sharpen focus and deepen connections.
Secondary Students will begin our first day back with specialized AI training, to help our students to use modern tools responsibly. From there, we will set the devices aside for the remainder of the week. By returning to hands-on, active learning, we aim to boost memory retention and spark the kind of vibrant classroom engagement that only happens when we look up from our screens.
Our goal is to help students to have a healthy digital balance. It’s an invitation for our students to rediscover that the most powerful learning happens through direct collaboration and intentional teaching. We look forward to seeing the energy and creativity this week from January 12 to 16.
HOPE is pleased to introduce our newly updated "2240 - Concerns, Complaints, and Grievance Policy designed to support the partnership between our families and staff. Our school is a working partnership between parents/guardians, employees, and students. We value community, and within communities, sometimes struggles may arise. HOPE desires to listen and address these situations in a biblical way that honors the Lord.
You can now find a helpful visual guide and detailed process on our website within the Parent Section. HOPE is committed to a biblically based procedure for resolving community concerns and grievances in a timely manner. This process will be carried out with mutual respect, prayer, love, and humility.
Over the Christmas break, the campus is open for community use from 8 AM to 5 PM. We kindly ask all visitors to adhere to these campus guidelines, especially during break times and holidays. Remember to bring your HOPE ID card or parent lanyard to show the guards that you are part of the HOPE community. This document outlines the expected guidelines for proper campus usage. All HOPE students must be supervised by an adult when they are on campus.
Our Christmas Cookies and Carols event was a truly sweet highlight for our school family. We want to extend a huge thank you to all the families from Parent Council who made this gathering possible; your presence and generosity officially ushered in the Christmas season! It was a beautiful opportunity to unite as a community, lifting our voices in worship and joining our hearts in prayer for this nation. The Mango Tree looked fabulous in all the Christmas decorations!
Our campus hosted the traditional Student-Alumni match this week, and it did not disappoint. In a high-energy game defined by skill and school spirit, our students narrowly edged out the Alumni team with a final score of 38–37. It was wonderful to welcome our alumni back to the court for such a competitive and friendly tradition.
We praise God for confirming the return of many of our current staff for the next academic year. Now, as we turn to fill open positions, we humbly ask our entire school family to lift this recruitment process in prayer. Pray that the Lord will send new, passionate staff members who are dedicated to serving Him through their work at HOPE. Please help us spread the word and invite qualified Christian friends and family to consider joining our ministry.
